Nathalie Lefèvre / clarinet
At the age of twenty-one Nathalie Lefèvre (b. 1970, Belgium) received her Higher Diploma, with distinction and the congratulations of the jury, at the Mons Conservatory. In the same year she won first prize for chamber music. She continued her studies under professors G. Deplus, A. Pay, W. Boeykens, P. Honingh and A. Damiens. Nathalie Lefèvre has been a prizewinner in various contests including the Concours International du Lyceum de Suisse. She also occupied the position of first solo clarinet in the Beethoven Academy. She has in addition given numerous recitals in Switzerland, Canada and Belgium. In 1977 she received her Higher Diploma for chamber music, with distinction, at Liège Conservatory. At present Nathalie Lefèvre is a teacher at the Moeskroen Academy of Music and the Brussels Royal Conservatory, and is a regular guest in the Flanders Opera orchestra. Nathalie Lefèvre spends most of her time playing for the Oxalys Ensemble.
